This past week, in addition to a new job, Esther was away on business. Luckily, it was close enough to home that we could come up and visit. The hotel is using a contact RFID key card, and it is interesting technology. I am curious to know if they use it for tracking and analyzing traffic patterns with in the hotel, i.e. if there are a lot of room keys on a floor in the elevator lobby, why not alter the elevator algorithm to reduce the congestion.
