Haiku Wednesday? Oops

My Haiku Tuesday is rapidly becoming Haiku Wednesday. Work has been very busy and so blogging has taken a little bit of a backseat.

To busy to blog,
no poetry on Tuesday.
My, I am too busy

Haiku Tuesday – The Haircut

I look quite shaggy,
Can’t find a good barber here.
Except for today.

New Haircut

Today, I went to get a haircut and found a great barber! They did some amazing work. I have never had a barber use a straight razor to get the hairs at the back of my neck, with hot shaving cream. It was quite a luxurious hair cut, but not in the froo-froo salon way.

I have had a hard time finding a good barber, prior to today, I have run into hair dressers who don’t really know how to cut mens hair and usually want to talk more than focus on my hair styling. The thing that aggravates me the most is when I would ask for a trim and the stylists response is “What guard?” The problem with that question is that it should be stylists job to figure out what guide I need based on how much of a trim I need. if I say I want it a lot shorter, give me a guide that cuts of more, if I say I want it a little shorter, don’t cut off so much. It’s not my job to cut hairs, so I don’t need to know about guides and sizes.

That’s what I love about this barber, no questions as to the size of the guide that I wanted, just a quick ask of how I want my hair styled and then she got to work. Fabulous!
