Run Potion #9

Today was the Yorktown Victory Run, an 8 mile race. It was chilly compared to the day before, quite a bummer, and very difficult to dress for. When I got through registering, I had bib number 9, which I felt odd at getting. I am used to professional cycling where the winner from the previous year gets bib #1, the rest of his team gets the rest of the single digit bibs, etc. So for me to have bib #9, either meant that I registered really early, which I did not, or I was lucky, or it was an omen.

The route was good, there were some parts that were a little rougher than I would have thought. Down right trail running, roots, dirt and rocks.

The thing about my run, which was most odd, besides my bib number, was my finishing time. I managed to run the entire 8 miles in 1 hour and 10 minutes plus some change. Un-freak-ing believable. All-in-all, a good run.

Un-freaking believable is right! I am so impressed with your time- next time I will be at the finish half an hour early in case you finish first! Can’t wait to find out your results :)
